These few objects – the indispensable – reflect your essence
Our “15 objects” project came to us observing the evolving world and travellers who only take with them those objects that truly represent who they are: a series of interviews in which some of the most important and interesting & famous figures of our time will tell the readers of this blog the ideal contents of their suitcases.
The first to “confess” is one of the fours designers of “In the sign of movement” project – Marcel Wanders, the Dutch designer…

Wall Paper: because if I go to a hotel and don’t like the room I place the wall paper up against the wall so the room instantly changes face and becomes beautiful. When I close my eyes to go to sleep I want to be absolutely sure that I am surrounded by beauty.
My sketchbook: it’s my secret book where I keep everything I’m interested in.
iPhone: I’m interested in the contents not the object itself. It contains my world, my personal way to perceive life, it’s something that comes from within and can be seen externally.
The iPhone is like a box, which contains my world, my contacts, photos and controls for my helicopter.
The screensaver on my iPhone is a beautiful photo of Amsterdam; this shows that wherever I go my world comes with me.
My remote controlled helicopter: I go everywhere with it because I want to fly. Thanks to the camera in my helicopter I can see things that otherwise I wouldn’t be able to.
Especially in some Designer spaces, I get to see things from a different viewpoint. I’m a designer, and I’m curious by nature and know that there could be interesting things right around the next corner that I wouldn’t otherwise notice without my helicopte
My shoe collection: I think that a lot of people adore their shoes. I change shoes several times during the day.
If I go away on a 3-day trip I take 15 pairs of shoes with me. I love my green boots!!
